Congratulations!

To answer your last question... just four words: 'Be Nice To Yourself.'

You really do deserve it.

Congratulations on finishing Young World ! I can't wait to read it! I never have finished a full novel length project. I have a lot of writing ideas but my brain always seems to be scattered even when I outline so they usually end around the thirty pages or sixty pages. I consume a lot of books and watch a lot of media but it doesn't always work in helping me get to professional level. I have several ideas though sometimes they're dark fantasy and other times it's a cozy fantasy

Focus on the idea that has the most energy and power behind it... That just propels you to keep working on it!

oh, gosh, soman!!!!! wishing you a speedy recovery! GraCiouS!! :P

at least there was miami... and you know: a book!!!

i was listening to WHAT WENT WRONG'S podcast ep on EYES WIDE SHUT on my way to writing group this morning... (thanks for leading me to that show!)

i'd say i haven't gotten to the END of enough projects to resonate with your feelings Just YET... i think the fear comes from overthinking and that blank page... wanting it to be what's in my head instead of what turns out on the page. :)

BUT! i am going out on sub with my picture book this week and i'm SO happy!!! and final edits on my MG before that goes out on sub this month, too-- so all kinds of REliEF and ecstatic joy and figuring out ways to celebrate before i jump (hopesfully not head-first) into the next projects!!!!

congrats again to YOU!! cannot wait to read YW!!!! is it still scheduled for a september release? launch party at BofWonder? can we come?!?? :D

That's the best podcast of all time! I'm a Patreon supporter of it... Congratulations on going out on sub...! And YW isn't out until early next year, but I'm hoping for a BoW launch for sure...

Did not expect that ending--hope you're recovering quickly. When you get better, I suggest celebrations with a good read and maybe ice cream?

And congrats! That's incredible, and I'm very excited to read YW. When I finished my first draft of my first novel, I felt like I never would. I could barely believe it, and even now I'm not sure I do. Finishing taught me way more about burnout and what I could do better for future projects, however, and for that I'm grateful.

Oh mon i hate that when an exercise machine turns into a BEAST when all you wanted was to decompress your spine and celebrate your finish! Ouche! So first we wish you massive doses of LOVINGKINDNESS and WHEN you recover from your injuries - which you will - then you can share your celebrations here in your diary of how you creatively engaged your wise subconscious in healing and how we can celebrate with you

Maybe you will rediscover a kinder gentler way of “working out” your body without machines that turn on you like beasts or collapsible items. but who am i to say what you will discover, maybe you can trust your subconscious will guide you on this journey too. Look where she lead you so far with transforming Beast into Beauty stories that lift us up and draw us into your creative heart vision?

So here we are… Your community is sending you the love so you can rest and safely release out of a painful neck lock into finding a more comfortable resting position🙏❤️🙂

. If you want to go down the rabbit hole of why we are so obsessed with our television series like the desperate housewives who dropped the desperate, ill take a brief turn with you. I wonder if i could microdose them but i have a theory they are not designed for microdosing and have been cleverly crafted to hook our shadow side or the parts of us we wish did not exist. What do you say?

Soman, I'm curious! What novel/project of yours has been the most fun to write? (Whatever fun means to you -- maybe you find great stress and intensity to be super fun lol). But has there been anything that's just been pure enjoyment start to finish?

(this is elle your intern btw)

Book 5! That one was pure joy. This one was too but the level of difficulty is 10/10. Beasts & Beauty was just blissful as well

I can't wait to read Young World. For me dystopain books are always timley because the world is unfortunately filled with corruption but that doesn't mean one should lose hope. Just like how fantasy books helps one deal with reality

As a Hungarian, I love your book, I have read it thousands of times over and over again, it is tireless. You inspired me to start writing a book and I have been writing my book since last March. I am currently at 230 chapters, but the work is exhausting.

Congratulations! I can't tell you how excited I am to read Young World!! And sending wishes of recovery your way, that sounds so scary! When you recover, I think you should celebrate by...hmm...rewatching Wicked? :)

That's a slightly more dramatic ending than anticipated. Thankfully, you're only bruised. Once the copy edits are complete, treat yourself to another short getaway in the sun. I fear it is going to be a long, cold winter in St. Louis. Congratulations on reaching the finish line. I, and your legion of fans, await a long, juicy read!

I was so tempted to just peace out to Florida for the winter...! Last winter was so mild, so this one is definitely a rude awakening. Copy edits make the days go faster though...

Wow wow!! Glad you're okay after a scary injury like that--(I just watched the Christopher Reeves documentary...neck injuries are very not a joke...) And hooray for finishing!!! What a way to wrap up 2024.
