I love being delusional. That's what reignited my love for writing and helped me push through starting another project. I think I burned out faster when I forget to be a healthy amount of delusional. There's this quote by Steve Jobs that pushed me a lot this summer, "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."
hi dear Soman as a huge fan of your work (and a fan of school of good and evil) i just want/need to ask if you have thought about collaborating with someone and do a game? a open word like mby hogwards legacy? i would love it so much !! <<3 !!!
Ok, but this experience of tackling a project and not being delusional /enough/ is so real. That's amazing that you're tackling this like a director, with artists and designers etc. I can't wait to see this new thing you're making! I already get the sense that other writers are going to look at it and their delusional brain will say, hey I want to do that too.
I think sometimes we hold ourselves back because we're afraid of just building the Ark and looking insane! But there comes a time in life where at least once, we need to swing big...
Wow, you scrapped 7 months worth of writing? That's a lot and I hope you are able to complete this new version in the way you think best!
I am a person who struggles a bit with letting myself be delusional, but maybe I should do that more with my original writing. I'm also thinking of not blogging certain writing as I have been doing to actually set it aside for publishing. Just maybe posting lore so it could actually be a project of my own.
100% all of the time. yes. yes i do, soman! 😂🤪❤️
Those are some big hay bales!
all the time, but often the honesty silences the delusion. still learning to be kinder to myself! also life's no funnn without delusion!
We need a little delusion to get going! But then the ruthless honesty has to settle in...

Agreed. Then once you get going, you need to be honest, though, as to whether the level of your work is lining up to your vision!

I would love that! I just don't know anything about open word games

It actually was a relief! Sometimes if something isn't working, best to just let it go and start fresh...
That's really smart -- and I wonder if it sharpens the left brain and right brain into different roles...
